1525    Raenech and the Black Galley Raiders take the fight to Aerenwe, and inflict heavy losses on the Royal Aerenwan Navy.

1525    The High Prefect of IHH, Hubaere Armiendin, brings William Moergan back from the dead. His bloodline is even restored, and there is talk of him being a living saint.

1525    An incursion of undead from the Shadow World is stopped in Alamier by Duke Diem’s men and templars from OIT.

1525    Governor Vaumel captures Albiele Island from the pirates and the Black Galley Raiders and forces the scum out of the rest of Mieres.

1525    The Sword and Crown is held in the Imperial city. Amongst the main events is the joust won by Raenech (so the Green Knight can be defeated after all), and Medoere is recognized as belonging to Diemed as a result of the war.

1525    The war against Raenech spreads, with Roesone joining the fray, with large losses on all sides. The Knight-Marshall of Ghoere changes side against Raenech, ensuring the Osoerdan forces do not overrun the South Coast, but he is slain during the fighting. Raenech becomes de-facto regent of Ghoere after striking a deal with the Gorien Hiriele and the Sword Mage.

1525    Carvaloen Diem renounces his claim to the title as Duke of Taeghas. It is instead promised to his brother Narvaloen Diem who is to wed Princess Aubrae Avan come summer HC 1526.

1525    The heir of Baruk-Azhik is freed from captivity. The dwarves send a contingent of warriors to help William Deaulen free Coeranys.

1525    Elinie fights a series of battles against the goblins of Markazor, moving into the enemy’s territory. Daeric, the Mhor of Mhoried, is killed by goblins in an ambush on the way back from helping in the fight. He leaves his underage son Raedric as heir.

1525    Dieman settlers start colonizing the Adurian shores west of Mieres. The colony is named Shaeme, in honor of Diem’s oldest and most loyal servants – House Shaeme.

1526    MOC acknowledges the spiritual supremacy of the OIT. The cardinal is well underway to becoming the most powerful priest in Anuire; apart from absolute command of the OIT, he now have the vassalage of the RCS, MOC and HA, as well as very good relations with ETN.

1526    Baroness Marlae Roesone stuns every noble in Anuire and goes to the altar with Duke Jaison Raenech. The Duke appears to have abandoned his evil ways, and the High Prefect of the IHH has granted him absolution for his sins. Roesone gains two provinces of southern Ghoere.

1526    The Eyeless One is gaining power within the Five Peaks.

1526    Narvaloen Diem and Aubrae Avan marry, and gain regency over Taeghas. They take the name Diem-Avan, founding a new House that will rule Taeghas for all eternity.

1526    William Moergen is reconciled with Raenech, who grants him Osoerde to hold as his vassal. The event comes as a shock to Anuirean nobility.

1526    Northern Tuornen and Alamie are plagued by humanoid marauders.

1526    A coup in Talinie causes great unrest in the region.

1526    Alamie launches a surprise attack on Tuornen with the help of forces sent by Raenech. Avanil launches a coordinated attack from the south, but later claims “to have protected the people from undue harm”.

1526    Raedric, the Heir of Mhoried has been squired to Duke Raenech of Osoerde. He is to return with the Duke to Ghoere and reside at the Court being set up in Bhalaene. In return, Duke Raenech has pledged to send 1000 men to stiffen Mhoried’s defenses. There is great division at the court of Mhoried.

1526    Armies of Elinie defeated by the goblins in Markazor.

1526    Jaison Raenech, Knight-Marshal of the Iron Guard, Duke of Dhalaene and Osoerde, is crowned as the King of Ghoere. Raenech is on the verge of becoming not only a regional power, but a major player on the Anuirean scene.

1526    The Duchess of Tuornen manages to flee to Boeruine, but the duchy is more or less overrun by its enemies, with the northern half going to Alamie and the southern to Avanil.

1526    Archduke Aeric Beruine dies after a long times sickness. Theon Boer is the new archduke.

1527    The rebellion continues in Coeranys. William Deaulen and his men – aided by dwarves and even some elves – are finally making some progress.     

1527    Military campaign from Boerunie fails to relieve siege of Tuornen; losses are heavy, forcing a retreat to Boeruine. Archduke Theon Boer returns home to find rebels in control of large parts of the duchy.

1527    Religious conclave in the Imperial City. Issue of a reunited imperial temple is raised, but the delegations are unable to reach an agreement.

1527    Diemed attacks Roesone in an attempt to get rid of Baroness Marlae. Raenech intervenes, and an agreement is found where Marlae is moved to Dhalaene and is to have limited powers. Marlae’s bastard half-brother Aruvor Raemel Roesone is to be the new Baron.

1527    IHH and ETN start a great campaign to rid Osoerde of the worshippers of Belenik. The men of Dragon Tanar, High Priest of Belinik, prove a hard nut to crack.

1527    Mieran raiders attempt to attack the Dieman colony of Shaeme. They are thrown back, and the Duke retaliates with an invasion of Mieres. Seaward is quickly laid siege to.

1527    As soon as the matters with Diemed are resolved, Raenech turns his attention to Aerenwe. The western provinces are overrun, and Cariele comes under siege. The Queen Tasaenae and her entourage flee with the royal navy to an unknown location. The city surrenders, and Raenech appoints General Darr as his vassal in Aerenwe. Dhoenel is granted to House Bellamie.

1527    Lady Lassica Diem is killed in a large and suspicious fire in Caer Aerele, an event which later the OIT blames on Count Aglondier and tries to have him excommunicated.

1527    Medoere is cursed with both a plagues and large numbers of undead terrorizing the realm. The OIT blames Count Aglondier, but there is no proof, and the attempt at excommunication fails.

1527    Prince Raenar of Coeranys, Raenechs puppet ruler, is found guilty of heresy. William Deaulen is invested as the new ruler of Coeranys, and swears vassalage to William Moergen of Osoerde.

1527    Alamie is on the point of collapse due to raiders out of the north and an increasingly insane and/or catatonic regent. Things eventually get so bad that the nobility ask Prince Avan to restore law and order. Dispatching his trusted aide, Lord General Daulton, the Prince quickly restores as semblance of order to the chaotic realm. Prince Avan now controls a vast domain, from Brosengae in the south to Alamie in the north.

1527    Civil war erupts in Boeruine, and it quickly engulfs the Kingdom of Talinie as well. Theon, the Archduke of Boeruine is besieged within his capital, while the Queen of Talinie is deported to Dantier Island. Everything seems lost, until a detachment of Raenech’s Iron Guard and Haelynite templars join up with Brandon Boer, Lord of the Western Isles, and start fighting back.

1527    Duke Diem tries to assassinate Count Aglondier while they are in the Imperial City to work out a peace treaty between the. The attempt fails. Seems the Duke also blames Aglondier for Lasica’s death and other evils. Count Aglondier’s tries to have Diem condemned, but this is largely drowned out by more important events.

1527    After dealing with the Kingdom of Aerenwe, King Raenech turns to her ally Elinie. Despite stiff resistance, the Patriarch Assan ibn Dautoa cannot withstand the might of the Iron King and his many vassals. Assan, who cannot with good conscience serve Raenech, abdicates in favor of his son Rashid, who subsequently swears vassalage to the King of Ghoere.

 

1528    Jaison Raenech, the King of Ghoere, defeats an army of the Gorgon’s that is massing in Markazor. He immediately starts planning for an attack on Battlewaite itself.

1528    After a long civil war, order is restored on the West Coast. The Queen of Talinie is returned to her throne, but the Archduke of Boeruine is killed (reputedly murdered by his own bannermen). Brandon Boer becomes the ruler of Boeruine through the Land’s Choice. He immediately declares war on Avanil.

1528    The True Church of Belinik is finally all but destroyed by the joint efforts of many temples and local rulers. Their leader, Drago Tanar, is never found and he later continues to make trouble for the good temples of Anuire.

1528    King Raenech’s infant son Chaerles goes missing, presumably taken by one of the King’s enemies (he’s got quite a few). Among the most likely suspect is the Sword Mage, prince Avan, Duke Diem, and the Gorgon.

1529    The new Archduke of Boeruine declares a blood feud with House Avnil, wowing to continue the war until the bloodline of Avan has been extinguished.

1529    King Raenech calls on his vassals and allies to support him with additional troops for his crusade against the Gorogn.

1529    The High Prefect lies gravely wounded in Caercas – the wounds suffered in the fight with Dragon Tanar refuses to heal.

1529    Several high-ranking priests from the ETN and IHH and their guards are “accidentally” killed by the Sword Mage when they enter his lands.

1529    There are persistent rumors of a great dragon having awakened somewhere in the swamps of the Eastern Marches.

1529    The OIT and her allies and vassals are making ready to join with Raenech against the Gorgon, while Avanil and the WIT are becoming more vocal in their opposition to the “wicked usurper”.

1529    Ghorien Hiriele, Duke of Ghieste denounces King Raenech, and seizes all his assets in Ghieste. He also hires a large army of mercenaries to ensure the safely of his realm.

1529    The Gorgon unleashes a great arcane conflagration Markazor, turning it into a barren wasteland, and seemingly destroying Raenech and his men as well.

1529    Many realms send men to the Crusade – and King Raenech is not dead, having been given shelter by the elves of Tuarhievel during the height of the destruction of Markazor.

1529    Duke William of Osoerde takes command of the Crusade and leads to north and east to the gates of Mur-Kilad. There the Gorgon’s generals suffer a major defeat as King Raenech appears at their rear while they engaged with Duke William. The dwarves shut themselves inside the mountain, leaving the passes and the road into the Gorgon’s Crown unguarded…

1529    Prince William of Coeranys has meanwhile somehow crossed into Kiergaard (some say the elves of the Sielwode helped him, others that the dwarven king of Baruk-Azhik allowed him passage) and poses a threat to the Gorgon’s flank.

1529    King Raenech leads his army to Battlewaite. Heavily reinforced by troops from Roesone, the King defeats the Gorgon upon the plain of Battlewaite, but is himself killed in the fighting.

1529    Baron Aruvor Raemel Roesone lays siege to Battlewaite, while Duke William continues to hold Markazor and Mur-Kilad. In Kiergard, the prince of Coeranys suddenly faces a large occupation force sent by the Swordhawk.

1529    A large army of gnolls and other monstrosities under the banner of the Red Wind are utterly destroyed south of Shaeme by the ghosts of the 13th Imperial Legion. This ends the threat of invasion for Shaeme and Mieres – for the time being.

1529    King Raenech’s missing son (Chaerles Raenech) is found in Mieres of all places. He is taken back to his mother, Queen Marlae Roesone-Raenech by Countess Siele Ghoried.

1529    The Swordhawk routs the Anuirean forces in Kiergard, placing the realm under his own rule.

1529    The dwarves of Mur-Kilad sally forth and drive Duke William’s forces back, breaking the siege of their underground realm.

1529    Markazor is divided, with two provinces going to Roesone, two to Mhoried, two to Dhalaene, and one to Osoerde.

1529    Baron Roesone continues his siege of Battlewaite. The Gorgon does not show himself at all, leading some to speculate that he might be dead or have fled.

1529    Grand-Maester Isilviere of the Knights of Haelyn secures the city of Fellport, allowing Müden to send supplies to the Anuirean forces in the Crown.

1529    The High Prefect finally merges the Lyeshan (a demigoddess) Temple of the Dawn with the IHH, setting of a heated debate within the ranks of clergy, laity, and worshippers alike.

1529    The re-colonization of Aduira continues. Diemed has a small enclave along the northern coast of Aduria, west of Mieres. Along the east coast House Zenneth is carrying their banner south and claiming new lands. Further to the west, beyond Tenouire, there is a Brosengan enclave and more recently one aligned with the moon priests of Medoere.

1529    The storm is finally unleashed from the five Peaks, as bandits, outlaws, and evil humanoids band together to lay waste to the surrounding countryside.
